Australian bodybuilder Janice Lorraine is 75 years old, but this isn't dampening her enthusiasm for bodybuilding at all.
Speaking to Daily Mail, the super fit gogo said she'll continue competing in the sport for at least two more years.
Briefly.co.za learned that she began bodybuilding when she was 55 years old. Since then, she has won an incredible 23 titles in the 50+ age category.
Janice took up the sport when she saw an elderly woman having difficulty walking without assistance and resolved not "to be like her."
She added that her main aim is to challenge stereotypes about ageing:
My aim is to show what’s possible and to motivate and encourage women of any age, to live the life they want to live and not be bound by traditional stereotypes and roles and the expectations of others.
Janice maintains a strict diet of natural foods as well as an intensive fitness and exercise regime. Her partner of 27 years, who is 24 years younger than her, is fully supportive.
In addition to being Australia's oldest bodybuilder, she's usually the oldest in her age category during competitions.
The determined gogo said she hopes her bodybuilding would inspire women of all ages to remain physically active.
