- Julius Malema, leader of the Economic Freedom Fighters, discussed the possibility of a coalition with the African National Congress
- Malema said it could happen but only if the ANC seriously addressed corruption
- Malema added that the EFF could form a coalition with the DA, if they do something about their "institutionalized whiteness"
EFF leader Julius Malema stated that the EFF is open to the idea of a coalition with the ANC - under certain conditions, of course.
Malema spoke out about the possibility during is time on a political talk show on SABC 3.
The EFF leader also said that he doesn't really care much about votes, according to The Citizen. He does not see the 6% the EFF got during the previous elections as a valuable contribution.
However, for a coalition to happen, certain conditions must be met by the ANC.
Corruption must be dealt with quickly and decisively. Only then will a coalition be possible.
Malema also insists that he would not abandon the EFF and go back to the ANC.
On a possible coalition with the DA, Malema said the party would have to "act on its institutionalized whiteness,".
