- Chiefs have been slow off the blocks this season and are yet to win a single match in the League

When the season began Chiefs felt they were well stocked in the centre backs position. The club boasted experienced defenders in Eric Mathoho, Daniel Cardoso, Siyabonga Ngezana, Teenage Hadebe and Lorenzo Gordinho. Gordinho was sacrificed and sent off on loan to Bloemfontein Celtics. Now only 7 months into his loan spell the Soweto giants are contemplating recalling him to shore up their leaky defence.
Gordinho is a seasoned centre back despite his young age. Briefly.co.za that the defender who had a successful trial stint at Aalborg BK of Sweden although he did not join them was released in January this year by Amakhosi. Now with the club in clear disarray at the back they are considering cutting short his loan spell from Siwelele as Celtics are affectionately known. According to soccerladuma.co.za Celtics are also eager to hold on to the defender and the situation as it stands that Gordinho might return is 50/50.
