Minnie Dlamini's ‘Spirit of Mzansi’ has won over the hearts of Twitter

Minnie Dlamini is spreading her wings and exploring new territory in the entertainment industry as a producer with her show 'Spirit of Mzansi'.

Minnie’s new show aired its debut episode on Wednesday night and #SpiritofMzansi immediately started trending on Twitter.

The reality show is hosted by Mpho Popps and follows similar lines to ‘The Amazing Race’.

Each week, the teams are pushed to their limits to complete complicated tasks that require some serious concentration skills and physical abilities.

Briefly.co.za gathered that this time the teams were asked to travel from Boksburg to Standerton. On their journey they needed to pick up things on their way and ask the locals for directions to their next stop.

The actress-turned-producer was amazed and appreciative of Mzansi’s support for her show.

TimesLIVE reported that she took to Twitter to thank viewers for their warm welcome and was proud to show off that the series was the most talked about topic on the social network.

Tweeps were quick to summarize the highlights of the show’s first episode.

The first thing they agreed on was that iPhone users do not give directions like the rest of the world do.

Secondly, Google maps is not much help in Mzansi.

Thirdly, tweeps loved the host, Mpho and hope to see more of him.
