South African rapper Da L.E.S is one of the biggest names in Mzansi’s music and part scene. He recently gave us the down low on his plans to inspire young men and he also opened up a little about his bromance with AKA.
Being an ambassador for young talent, Da L.E.S was recently announced as one of the co-hosts for Bacardi’s House Party Sessions, reported Times Live. This event allows young talent the opportunity to be noticed by people like Da L.E.S.
L.E.S is all about mentorship and he said that the event gives him the opportunity to pass on valuable knowledge to up and coming artists.
Briefly.co.za learnt that he is so passionate about promoting youth that he even suggested the possibility of adding some of them to his infamous All-White Party artist list.
The infamous All-White-Party is huge. It is normally held at L.E.s’s house in Northern Johannesburg, but due to issues with bylaws, he had to move it this year.
As the party was increasing in size, sound and publicity, it raised some legal issues that forced the relocation of the event. L.E.S says that they are “excited to try some new things and see how it grows."
It comes as no surprise that his bestie, AKA, will be on the line-up again. The two have a bromance that cannot be put into words.
There were feeling that L.E.S and AKA had drifted, but that is not the case at all. L.E.S stated that people are thinking this due to the fact that they have not done music together.
The two recently went to a basketball game together and their bromance is as lit as ever.
L.E.S did mention that he had been working on some stuff with AKA, but they will release it when the time is right.
The two are not concerned with the opinions of others and give no energy to negative assumptions regarding their careers, friendship or anything else for that matter.
