A building in Joburg's CBD caught fire on Thursday and reports indicate people are still trapped in it.
News broke of a burning building on Rissik Street, where several people are still trapped. Thus far, according to Eyewitness News, it is unclear what started the fire.
Briefly.co.za learned three firetrucks, ambulances and other emergency services were already on the scene to try and put out the fire.
According to reports, more paramedics and other emergency services had been dispatched to the scene, while the police also arrived a while back.
A video was posted on Eyewitness News' Twitter page, which shows the severity of the fire, where some people are spotted on the roof of the building calling for help.
According to officials on the scene, several more are believed to be trapped in the burning building as well.
It has since been established at least five, including kids, are stuck on the building's roof while waiting to be saved.
Another lady was seen jumping to a near by building with her toddler. Thus far no fatalities have been reported.
