Orlando Pirates were dealt a heavy blow in their loss against Bidvest Wits at home and it left the team dejected as it came against the backdrop of their elimination from the MTN8. Expectations were high at the beginning of the season after the Bucs' late surge last season which saw them threaten to pip Sundowns for the title. Midfielder Musa Nyatama was, however, quick to come to the defence of the team pointing out that theirs is work in progress.
Briefly.co.za learnt that Pirates coach Micho has been applying an attacking combination favouring a 4-3-3 formation which he applied at Wits with no success. Nyatama like his coach believes the team is in the right path. The methodical and patient build ups were praised by the coach. According to Kickoff the Pirates coach said; “We dominated in all statistical aspects but in that one aspects that counts we conceded a goal from an accidental situation. The team will have to improve on their finishing as they create chances but fail to kill the game. It was that extravagance towards goal that cost them the game against Wits. The game against Bloemfontein Celtics om Sunday presents an opportunity for the team to recover and Musa Nyatama feels that will be the occasion for the team, to pick itself up.
