Members of the Daveyton community got hold of a suspected Freak Gang member and demanded to be taken to the 'ringleader'. They were led to the local high school.

The scared school management locked the school gates but the angry mob broke it down and found the pupil suspected of being the gang leader. He was dragged out of the schoolyard and taken to a field where the mob took the law into their own hands.

The angry mob necklaced the pupil and left him to burn alive.

Soon the police arrived on the scene and put out the flames. Clifford Shongwe of Ekurhuleni Metro stated the pupil was taken to hospital with burn wounds on his feet and the lower part of his body.

The Daily Sun reported the community was sick and tired of the Freak Gang and they decided to do something about it. They believe the gang is behind the killing of community members whose bodies are simply dumped in the bushes.

Members of the community said that 3 years ago the OVL gang was taken care of after a reign of terror and the same will be done to the Freak Gang, who many believe is the OVL gang's reincarnation.

Briefly.co.za gathered that at this point, no arrests have been made but the police tried to find the Daveyton residents involved in the incident.

It is believed a female pupil was shot during the search as police barged into houses looking for suspects.

The community might be happy to be able to take the law into their own hands, but it is feared that the gang will now retaliate.
