Soccer star, Itumeleng Khune has taken to Instagram asking for God to help his girlfriend, Sbahle Mpisane make a speedy recovery after being involved in a horrendous car accident.
Sbahle was driving a car that was a birthday gift from herself when she swerved off the road and hit a street lamp on Margaret Mncadi Avenue during the early hours of Thursday, August 9th 2018. Police have opened an investigation into her crash, but no cause has been found as of present.
Sbahle has been showing off the blue BMW on her Instagram feed in the days leading up to the crash and it appears that social media are overlooking the fact that the car was in Itumeleng’s name.
Breifly.co.za learned that she had only received the car a week or two earlier.
Sbahle’s car overturned and burst into flames. Luckily, bystander Brian Dube saw the accident happen and he rushed to extinguish the blaze, ultimately saving her life.
Paramedics rushed her to hospital to be treated for fractures caused by the impact of her crash.
Sbu Mpisane spoke to the media a few days after she was admitted to hospital to speak about how devastated he is to hear about his daughter. Initially he was only told that she had been in an accident and no further details were given.
The family also began to gather outside of the hospital so that they could be as close to her as they could during this time.
Boyfriend, Itumeleng also sent her wishes over social media when the news broke.
Both Sbahle and boyfriend, Itumeleng are both religious and ZAlebs that she has been in his prayers since she has been in hospital.
Sbahle has been in Intensive Care ever since however her family strongly believe that she will make a full recovery despite the odds that she is facing. They also held a fitness and prayer session in her honour for her fans to show their love and support for the fitness trainer.
Following her crash, Doves Funeral Parlour received a heavy backlash after they joined in on #PrayforSbahle in a social media advert.
Tweeps immediately criticized the company for poor taste. The post has since been deleted.
