Leader of the IFP, Dr Mangosuthu Buthelezi, is 90-years-old and wishes for his history with the ANC to be resolved before he dies.
Buthelezi recently admitted that he gets angry when members of the ANC mocks him and his situation.
He addressed dignitaries in Durban when he spoke about his desire to have his ANC membership renewed before it's too late. He feels he was embarrassed by ANC leaders.
The KZN prince said he stopped people from joking about his situation with the ANC, because he wants them to know it is not a joke.
He added that the party should renew his membership if they want him to have a humble death.
Buthelezi will be celebrating his 90th birthday on 27 August, but Briefly.co.za reported he held a celebration for his birthday at the Exhibition Centre in Durban over the weekend.
Buthelezi his longevity is due to God and his family. The veteran Inkatha Freedom Party leader said his life has been remarkable because he even survived attempts on his life.
