- Dwight Yorke is currently facing bankruptcy issues
- The ex-Man united star will have a hearing in London
- Yorke's ex-wife, Katie Price, is also facing similar issues
Ex-Manchester United player Dwight York is facing bankruptcy just two weeks after his ex-wife Katie Price's money troubles were revealed, The Sun reports.
The 46-year-old retired footballer will be the subject of an insolvency hearing in London Monday, August 20.
Price is desperately trying to stay off bankruptcy after reportedly losing her £45 million (R830 million) fortune.
The former Trinidad and Tobaggo star's hearing is due to take place at the Rolls Building court complex, which handles voluntary bankruptcy applications and creditors’ demands.
"Katie and Dwight may be more similar than they think they are, what with them both blowing their fortunes," a source said.
"Dwight’s been desperately trying to get his finances back on track over the past year as his company’s assets dwindled to just £2.
"He even sold the Cheshire mansion he used to share with Katie. He got £2.25million last year but that clearly hasn’t helped.
"When you think of how successful Dwight was as a player, it is really quite difficult to believe it has come to this."
The former Aston Villa striker has faced money trouble before - last year a petition against him was dropped after the amount he owed fell below £5,000.
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had earlier reported that Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has warned his former club not to sell Paul Pogba to Barcelona.
Super agent Mino Raiola is trying to work out a sensational move for the France World Cup winner.
