3 facts about Adam Catzavelos, the man who went viral for his racist video

Adam Catzavelos shocked South Africans after he used the k-word on a video to describe the beautiful scenery while on holiday abroad.

Although no one knew who he was when the video went viral, it did not take Twitter investigators long to track him down.

It resulted Adam Catzavelos' name trending on social media on Wednesday, so Briefly.co.za decided to gather three facts about him.

1. He is the boss

According to a report by The South African, Catzavelos is an entrepreneur. Nedbank came under fire for an alleged affiliation with Catzavelos, but the major bank confirmed he was not one of their employees.

2. Family business

Catzavelos and his brother, Nicholas, took over the family sauce business, which their father founded 50-years-ago.

However, it has been reported since the video went viral, Catzavelos was sacked from the family business.

3. Media exposure

It is not the first time Catzavelos got some media exposure. Four-years-ago, the racist was interviewed by Radio 702.

However, since his holiday video blew up, the radio station distanced itself from him, adding it did not condone his statements.
