Briefly.co.za previously reported that the video managed to capture the attention of both the Democratic Alliance and the Economic Freedom Fighters who have taken action against him.

The EFF demanded to take protest action if the police did not arrest him while the DA took the matter up the South African Human Rights Commission.

Since the video surfaced, he has lost his job at his father’s company.

Naturally the internet jumped onto it and created the #AdamCatzavelosChallenge where tweeps took a turn to mock the controversial video.

Investigative journalist, Max Du Preez also stepped forward to commend South Africans for the way that they have turned this incident around.

One tweep has also commented that it is only a matter of time before the witty team of advertisers for fast-food restaurant, Nando’s uses the incident for one of their adverts.

South Africans have come up with some truly hilarious parodies and it just shows what a unique sense of humour we have as a nation.
