- Adam Catzavelos has apologised for using the k-word on a video that was shared across social media
- He says he feels ashamed and do not expect people to forgive him for his behaviour
- The apology comes after Adam lost his job and was reported to the police and South African Human Rights Commission
After being in the news for days because his racist video went viral, Adam Catzavelos has apologised to South Africa.
The most talked about man of the past week has written a letter to say sorry for the hurt and harm that his racial slur has caused.
IOL News reports that Adam said he watched his video and he feels ashamed. He said it is hard to put into words what he wants to say and he genuinely apologises.
Adam said he doesn't expect people to forgive him and he will forever be sorry. He will spend the rest of his life to make up for his lack of respect and judgement.
This apology comes after South Africa went on a manhunt to find Adam after his video was shared on social media.
Adam's family rejected his behaviour and he lost his job while political parties turned to the police and the South African Human Rights Commission. Briefly.co.za reported that the EFF laid a criminal charge against Adam and the DA approached the SAHRC.
His family's business lost clients in the aftermath of his racist rant. Recently, Adam was banned from going near his children's school as well.
For those who missed it, here's the video everyone's been talking about:
