- In just six-years, Mokhepho Gafane made a name for herself in the SAPS
- By cracking several high profile cases and putting rapists and killers behind bars, she is a force to be reckoned with
- Now, the 37-year-old aspires to be the country's national commissioner
Six-years-ago, Mokhepho Gafane saw how serious the crime was in her hometown of GaMothapo, near Polokwane, so she enrolled in the SAPS.
Today, the Limpopo based police officer is making her mark on the crime-fighting scene, locking away several serious offenders and cracking one after the other case.
Gafane's exceptional work in the police force secured her a spot in the list of candidates which Limpopo provincial police commissioner Lieutenant General Nneke Ledwaba chose to celebrate as part of women's month.
Briefly.co.za learned Gafane joined the cluster task team at Marble Hall police station where she busted a serial killer and rapist in Groblersdal in just a week's time.
Following her success, Gafane was promoted to the provincial office, where she managed to secure five life sentences a suspect, as well as solve 20 serious crimes, The Sowetan reported.
However, the brave cop is far from done with the great work she has been doing and she now set her sights on the position of national commissioner.
