Bonnie Mbuli an icon: Celebrating 25 amazing years in the entertainment industry

Bonnie Mbuli has been in the entertainment industry for 25 years.

In a recent interview on Afternoon Express, the star shared some of the highlights from her 25-year-long career, reports ZAlebs.

From e.tv’s Backstage, to writing books, it seems that this star has done it all and is still looking as gorgeous as ever.

In a particularly dark period in her life she struggled with depression and her book “Eyebags & Dimples” delves into her journey through this time.

Not stopping there, she then announced recently the launch of her series on IGTV dealing with the subject of depression.

This is not the only cause she has been involved in. She recently took part in the #TotalShutdown march which saw thousands of women take to the street to march against gender-based violence.

Women from all walks of life took to the streets demanding an end to gender-based violence in honour of Women’s month.

Celebrities such as talk show host Pabi Moloi, actress Bonnie Mbuli and Idols judge and singer Unathi joined their fellow women in the march.

Many more celebs joined in the protests to show their solidarity. Independent Online reported that in Pretoria, women marched to the Union Buildings to deliver a memorandum to President Cyril Ramaphosa.

One of the items on the agenda was to provide safe houses for women and children.
