Parliament's Portfolio Committee on police ordered an urgent and independent investigation into the Hawks.
The investigation comes in response to shocking accusations made by Mcebisi Jonas during his testimony in front of the Commission of Inquiry.
The former minister claims that one of the Hawks' officers tried to have the investigation into allegations of bribery against the Guptas 'disappear'.
Briefly.co.za reported that Major General Zinhle Mnonopi even gave Jonas a prepared statement that she wanted him to sign.
The Parliament took note of Jonas' allegations and decided to launch urgent an investigation.
He added it would be best if they launch their own internal investigation.
