- Cici now says that she was never assaulted by Arthur Mafokate
- The couple have been in and out of court after they pressed charges against each other
- She admits to being dragged behind his car however, she denies allegations of assault
Singer Busisiwe ‘Cici’ Thwala appeared in the witness-box on Friday to deny claims that her ex-boyfriend, Kwaito musician, Arthur Mafokate assaulted her.
Advocate Leana Fick, who is Arthur’s legal representative was cross-examining Cici when she made the shocking revelation during his assault trial at the Midrand Magistrate’s Court.
Cici laid charges against him after he had pulled her down a gravel road behind a VW Minibus which resulted in the R&B singer shattering her pelvis and having to stay in the Intensive Care Unit.
The Sowetan Live reports that despite this incident, she was adamant that he never assaulted her.
When Fick approached Cici to ask her if she thought that Arthur would admit to abusing her, Cici stated that she had never said that he attacked her and denied making these claims in the first place.
Briefly.co.za previously learned that Arthur had also laid charges against her, stating that she had attacked and bitten him.
Cici denied these charges and accused him of spreading rumours to ruin her reputation.
After appearing in court for her trial, she was cleared of any wrong doing and it was apparent that Arthur had only laid those claims against her in retaliation for the charges she pressed.
She also took to social media to forgive him for everything he had done to her and to give her account of the story.
