Mpho Sebeng: Black youth are oppressed by South African systems

South African Mpho Sebeng spoke out about the difficulties of making it as a young black person in SA. One thing that shone through is the fact that, no matter what, black youth push through.

There are many challenging factors in life, especially in Mzansi. Mpho said that he is glad to see so many people making something of themselves, despite the challenges that they are constantly faced with.

He stated that " as a black man the odds are stacked against you” and that you need to work that much harder in order to come out on top.

Being a young black man himself, Mpho understands the challenges better than anyone. He believes that black youth are still oppressed by historical systems which have filtered down into the current generation.

Briefly.co.za learnt that it is the will of the black youth to create change and do whatever it takes to shake the shadow of the past that allows them to succeed.

Mpho landed a role as a character on ‘Ring Of Lies’ and he said that he has been blessed with opportunity, but he worked hard and took every opportunity he could, to get to where he is now.

The role of Goitseone has given Mpho another opportunity to grow and he is grateful. Learn as much as you possibly can so that you are able to achieve anything you set your mind to.
