- American artist, Anthony Hamilton played a one night only gig in SA recently
- The star made the effort to learn some Zulu and he wowed the crowd with it
- Some were a tad cheesed off as they said he was bias by the language choice
Anthony Hamilton, an international artist from America, came to Mzansi to grace us with his iconic presents and captivating tone. The second that fans heard he was coming, they filled with excitement.
This was the artist’s second time in South Africa since 2014. He recently did his one nigh only performance and he completely knocked the socks off of the crowd, reported ZAlebs. Mzansi got a real treat.
Hamilton has expressed his love for our motherland over social media when he told fans that he had learnt some Zulu. It was only when he was on stage and said "Ngiyani Thanda", that fans really felt the love.
Briefly.co.za learnt that the international star left fans speechless when he serenaded them in isiZulu, an unforgettable performance, for sure.
Anthony took to social media the next morning to thank Mzansi for having him and for the incredible energy. He also threw in another Zulu word there.
Most of Mzansi were really impressed and appreciated the artist’s effort to learn some of an official language, but there were those that got sticky and asked why isiZulu and not another official language. You can never please everyone and that’s ok too.
