The gospel group Abathandwa stand tall against negative media

There is a whirlwind of excitement as Abathandwa Music Group gospel music is entering the music industry with a bang.

Despite all that is going on there is a negative vibe that is surrounding the group. The negativity stems from the recording company, Ncwane Communications, which record under. There has been a lack of enthusiasm on social media and newspapers.

One of the contentious points is the group leader, Percy Nyawo, was seeing wearing attire from the late S’fiso Ncwane, for which he was highly criticized. On top of all this, rumours have been spreading that Percy and Ayanda, which is S’fiso’s widow, have been having an affair.

Percy commented that he and the group will not allow the devil to have any impact on their faith. He said that all the group members come from disadvantaged backgrounds and with their music becoming so popular and them becoming successful, the negativity seems to be coming their way. learnt that it was emphasized that the group will not allow what is going on to demotivate them and said the devil is a liar!

The group has also been criticised for one of their popular tracks, Ehhe Moya Wam, which is from the album Amagatsha. Fans on social media are saying the track is annoying.

Percy admitted that he is aware of the videos people have posted indicating that they have become tired of the song. He said that he is of the opinion that these certain individuals are haters and have been sent by the devil in order to undermine God’s work.

He went on to say that the group is a lot stronger than they we before. All the criticism shows is proof of all the hard work they have done.

MamNcwane (Ayanda Ncwane) is there to teach them how to handle any negativity that comes their way. She is the person that reassures them of the good they are doing and says that the devil will try intervene and discourage them.

Percy is excited about the upcoming Crown Gospel Music Awards and that they are looking forward to submit their entries for the nominations.
