Calling up the past recently, Black Coffee thought back to when he was young and famous. The affair he had five years ago was the reason for the upset in his marriage with Enhle Mbali. He remembered how fame can make a person do things they will regret.

It was back in 2013 when Sunday World reported on the alleged affair. Making headlines for cheating on his wife with a model and businesswoman. It was Enhle’s claim that the woman was allegedly attempting to force them to pay her money.

Black Coffee spoke to Metro FM’s DJ Fresh about the episode saying that he grew up as a child that had very little but lived on the dream of becoming a star. When he reached his goal and there was so much focus on him, it was overpowering. learnt that he stated that a man will always be a man and when you add female attention to the mix it can be blinding. It is something that will catch up with you no matter how many times you try to ignore it.

The joy and excitement of success is overwhelming and this is when you tend to slip up. Having said this, Black Coffee is grateful that he was able to learn from his mistakes and is fully aware now of what can go wrong.

The media coverage the alleged affair brought to readers was a little exaggerated according to Black Coffee but it also showed him he was human. Everything that was going on in his life, he realized that he is just human.

Coffee says his realness does not stop, whether the cameras and microphones are off or not. With being real comes mistakes, which means he also get angry and emotional. But thankfully he has learnt valuable lessons from his past mistakes.

Enhle spoke about the same topic while at the inaugural In Good Company Experience Summit in Sandton, Johannesburg this week. She said it was her “sisters” that gunned her when the alleged affair made headlines.

Even though they both have been through rough times, Black Coffee is a devoted partner now. Some of the love messages he sends his wife have been seen on social media.
