- Zodwa wants to be remembered for helping people
- She is planning on building a community centre on some land that she owns
- She wants to make sure that the project will keep kids off the streets
Zodwa Wabantu wants to be known for more than her racy dance moves or her overly sexy fashion sense, she wants to be remembered for helping people.
The performer is not turning her attention to helping her community by developing the land that she owns in Nelspruit.
She has revealed that she plans to build a public centre for residents to visit and to use.
While she is in talks with the necessary people, she still doesn’t exactly know what kind of facilities she would like to build at the centre.
She has had the idea of adding a cinema to the project as well as including some other facilities for recreational activities.
TimesLIVE reports that she has placed her main focus on kids being able to use the centre so that they don’t end up mixing with the wrong crowd.
While Zodwa has plans to help look after the community, she wants to first make sure that she and her family are taken care of.
Briefly.co.za previously reported that she is taking steps to plan for her retirement from the entertainment industry.
While she has already built a house for herself on some of the land that she owns, she has revealed that she might buy another house.
She has been sharing pictures of her new home on Instagram to show her followers that by working hard, they too can reach their goals.
Zodwa hopes that when she is no longer famous that her community will remember all that she did for them and that the community centre is the start of her legacy.
