- One enthusiastic fan took to SM to congratulate AKA on his music
- AKA thanked his fan for the compliment and then “graciously” thanked him for stealing from him
- Turns out the track was illegally downloaded… which the fan then broadcast on Twitter
One of the biggest issues our artists face is illegal downloads.
AKA had the opportunity to address someone recently when he saw they had illegally downloaded his track.
The gushing fan took to Twitter to compliment the artist on his track Daddy Issues II. AKA noticed the post and then also noticed something strange alongside it, reports TimesLive.
The track the fan had screen-grabbed had a download track next to it.
AKA didn’t miss a beat and took the opportunity to thank the fan for stealing from him.
The response he got though was not unanimous support.
Some fans didn’t really see the big deal in this and thought he should just be grateful for the support.
But some fans agreed with the artist’s feelings.
AKA featured recently in other news when Briefly.co.za reported that his new blonde hair-do had not gone down well with fans #shame.
AKA has shocked us all. The SA artist has gone and changed his look with a somewhat questionable hair do. This has taken Mzansi by surprise and fans are shook.
AKA seems to be on some trend setting mission or something, because this look is something we have not seen before.
