- Lindi Marc had always harboured a dream of being a gospel musician
- However, she put it on hold to be a wife, mom, and businesswoman
- After almost losing her life in a car accident in 2015, she decided to finally achieve her dream
A horrific car accident in 2015 inspired Lindi Marc to finally achieve her long-held dream of being a gospel musician.
Lindi, whose real name is Lindiwe Marcellus, was born in Zimbabwe and moved to South Africa in 2008, Briefly.co.za learned.
Speaking to Daily Sun, she said she had put her dream on hold for a long time to be a wife, mom, and businesswoman.
This changed when she almost lost her life in the car accident. She explained:
While I was in hospital, my husband promised to find me a studio and producer as I had almost lost my life before I could make my dream a reality.
Lindi hasn't looked back since then. She released her first album, Vhurai Nzira, in November 2017 to a warm reception.
The talented vocalist has been working on her second album, which she is set to launch in November this year.
However, she admitted that pursuing a career in gospel music isn't easy:
I thought making money here would be a breeze, but it wasn’t. So I stopped trying and started looking for a job.
