Mpumi Somandla and Lerato Mvelase met on set of a Duma Ka Ndlovu musical and since then the pair have been inseparable.
While they have been proven to be a powerhouse team in the industry, they are also best friends when they are not at work.
Mpumi and Lerato do have a lot in common after all so it makes sense for them to get on so well.
The entertainment industry is a very tough industry and it is crucial to have a good support system, but luckily the pair have each other to lean on when times get tough.
It is clear that these to have a special connection as they spend a lot of their down time together and they often share their crazy antics with their followers on social media.
Lerato has just dropped her new single ‘Sthingthing’ featuring Professor DJ Active, Emza and of course, Mpumi.
Briefly.co.za learned that to promote the release of her new song Mpumi and Lerato posted a video of them singing along to it for their version of ‘Carpool Karaoke’.
The besties also love to escape from their hectic schedules to take road trips around the country and their holiday photos can make anyone jealous.
While Mpumi features in Lerato’s new track, Mpumi did return the favour by putting her friend in the music video for her track ‘iZulu’.
Lerato also shared a video of the two of them soaking up the sun and singing a part of Mpumi’s ‘iZulu’.
It is great to see that the besties are always promoting each other and helping one another on their way to success.
ZAlebs reports that Lerato chose Mpumi to be the godmother for her five-year-old daughter, Nkanyezi.
