SA's deadliest burglar: Man finds massive Black Mamba wrapped around burglar bar

A man got the shock of his life when he discovered a huge Black Mamba curled around his burglar bars.

On Tuesday, at around 18:41, members of Reaction Unit South Africa (Rusa) was called out to a home in Parkgate, KwaZulu-Natal.

Upon arrival, the unit discovered a massive two meter long Black Mamba, which was wrapped around the home owner's burglar bar.

"Upon arrival Reaction Officers found the snake wrapped around a burglar bar in the living room," part of Rusa's Facebook post about the encounter read.

Briefly.co.za learned with the help of professional snake catcher Jason Arnold, they were able to safely retrieve the highly venomous reptile.

The post gathered quite the reaction from Facebook users, who said they would not have been able to deal with such a massive, and poisonous, snake.

Sumeya Sumz Nair wrote, "Yasis I would have died right their not even been able to make that call for help. yasis suck a big snake just thinking about snakes on the plane or a back flash from anaconda."
Karishma Bisnath added, "I would’ve moved out tbh. That’s the snakes house now"
Joshua Hoskins commented: "If i saw this in my home i will be jumping crazy for help."
