- Sporting Club 2 de Mayo reached the decision after it emerged that the dog had developed a perfect bonding with the club manager
- The dog is said to be constantly in the manager's company and never leaves his side
Sporting Club 2 de Mayo, has been forced to employ a stray dog as an 'assistant manager' after it emerged that the carnivorous had developed a perfect bonding with the club's manager, Carlos Jara Saguier.
Saguier one day fed the dog, named Tesapara, a piece of 'Empanda' - a pasty enjoyed in Latin America and she has notleft his side since.
“I gave him a piece of empanada [pie] and from that day, every time I came to work, he greeted me and does not let go of me,” Saguier told local media outlets.
“Tesapara is the guardian of the club, he lives there, when the gates close he is fierce but by day he is friendly... very accessible.”
Fascinatingly, Tesapara accompanies Saguire everywhere he goes, including training sessions with the club and post-macth interviews.
The pooch is often pictured watching the club's weekly matches from the dugout, and whenever she is barred from the technical bench, she follows the action from the stands.
Saguire further divulged to the media that Tesapara even keeps players on their toes “with a grunt”, with Saguire revealing the pooch is his "partner in this adventure with this club.”
