Princess Diana may have started the revenge tradition of getting back at your ex by living your life to the fullest and showing off your curves in beautiful fashion statement outfits.
When King Charles was still a prince he had separated from his wife Princess Diana in 1992 and divorced in August, 1996, a divorce which was prompted by the King's affair with Camilla Parker Bowles.
Before the revenge body trend, there was Princess Diana's revenge outfit trend. The princess did hers by rocking specific fashion statement outfits that went against everything that was considered as the protocol for royal fashion.
Decades after Princess Diana's death, an Instagram account identified as @ladydirevengelooks, which is dedicated to celebrating the best of her post-divorce looks, has gained popularity among her fans.
The 36-year-old Diana had stepped up her fashion game after her divorce. She was seen rocking plunging neckline dresses, striking shoulder pads, mini dresses and more.
New York-based fashion writer Eloise Moran who is a big fan of Princess Diana, had created the account to celebrated Diana's 90s looks.
She said: "I've always loved Princess Di's style and found her to be very relatable. I've always been a fan of her '90s looks, and realized her style got sufficiently more daring and s*xy after her break up with Prince Charles.
I got a sense of her resilience through the way she dressed. That's where the idea to archive her 'revenge looks' came from - everyone can relate to revenge dressing and the idea that you can make your ex regret losing you with one super chic and s3xy outfit."
The Instagram account gathered thousands of fans and even got the attention of celebrities, such as Chloe Grace Moretz who follows the page.
Meanwhile, Briefly.co.za had recently published a post looking at the evolution of Meghan Markle's style ever since she became part of the royal family.
