Woman mugged by gang in Tshwane CBD caught on video

Yet another video was shared on social media, which showed thugs ambushing unsuspecting civilians in broad daylight.

The video, which was shared on Yusuf Abramjee's Facebook page, showed a gang of robbers attacking a woman and man who had been walking in Tshwane's CBD.

News24 reported according to police, the incident took place on the corner of Lillian Ngoyi and Francis Baard streets on 30 August.

The footage shows a couple of men chocking the man, while others attempted to grab the lady's handbag.

Her screams where heard loudly, showing just how terrified she was, yet no one tried to help either one of them.

Briefly.co.za learned a suspect, 31, was arrested but was later released after his court appearance on 31 August.

The video sparked a reaction on social media, and some people felt it was disturbing that no one tried to help the distressed woman.

Berks Moosa wrote, "Coz it must be happening every day"
Janine Hills added: "Its blood curdling...."
Trishana Govender commented: "Caught on camera and still not arrested."

One Facebook user found it suspicious that the camera man knew when to start filming, as if he had knowledge of what was about to happen.

Nizaamudeen N M Ayob wrote, "The question is the person doing the video... how did they know the incident would occur?"
