Meet the #SofaSlahlane stay-at-home husband who cooks, cleans and irons

While most men feel emasculated by staying at home and taking over the duties of a 'house wife', however Sofa Slahlane featured a man who prefers being a stay-at-home dad.

Fans of Moja Love's hit reality show #SofaSlahlane were introduced to Jabu, a stay-at-home dad who lets his wife handle the financial responsibility while he takes care of affairs around the house and their kids.

Taking to Twitter, the show shared a previews of what fans could expect of the episode, which aired on Thursday night, TshisaLIVE reported.

"Stay at home father, feels that his gender is not a reason to allow his wife Thandi, to handle the finances, whilst he takes care of all the household duties. Thandi is still hopeful that she will one day become a stay at home mother and her husband will handle the finances," the video preview was captioned.

Briefly.co.za gathered fans loved the couple's setup and they praised Jabu for not letting his male ego get the best of him and allowing his wife to succeed in her career.

Social media user @DexSomahash wrote, "I truly respect this couple especially the guy for not following abantu bazothin Syndrome,Am so humbled by such man.who think for their spouse's also putting their kids first,I hope they stay happy and he finds the job soon."

However, some tweeps felt he would use unemployment to cheat on his hard-working wife.
