Five of the best footballers in the world born in or after year 2000

Football scouts across the world generally like to see the talent while the player is young. Of course, there are those who bloom later in their years but the investment is safer and usually worthwhile in younger players.

2. Vinicius Jr of Brazil and Real Madrid

After a big money move to Real Madrid, Vinicius Jr has found himself playing with the side B of Los Blancos. Many have argued that he is perhaps far better than that.

It is easy agree with the many if you saw Vinicius strut his stuff for Flamengo in Brazil. One would hope that he is not overwhelmed by the pressures at Real Madrid.

3. Jadon Sancho of England and Borussia Dortmund

The 18 year-old has already been a source of contest between two big European clubs, namely, Man City and Dortmund.

It would seem that at his age, Sancho is worth the hype. A competent dribbler, Sancho has the pace and vision to become one of the best wingers in Europe.

4. Moise Kean of Italy and Juventus

In 2017, Mose Kean became the youngest player ever to play an official game for Juventus Turin. He was just 16 but if you are thrown onto the pitch for a club like Juventus at that age, you must be a gem.

Kean now has Cristiano Ronaldo to learn. It cannot get better than that for a man who has shown so much promise.

5. Angel Gomes of England and Manchester United

Angel Gomes is a throwback to the old-school number 10. He operates in the space behind the striker and his ability to dribble and fight tight spaces make him magnificent to watch.

Manchester United have had to fight off Borussia Dortmund to keep Angel Gomes. If that is not saying something, we are not sure what would.
