As most of us know, Boity Thulo has taken on a new career path as a rapper. She recently released her first single and we feel that this will not be the last. Boity took the opportunity when it was presented to her and she is not looking back.

There were and still are, some negative feelings around her becoming a rapper. A lot of people’s first reactions were out of shock, “She’s a rapper now?". This has not worried her in the slightest though.

Boity is confident in her musical ability and feels blessed to have been given the opportunity to tick off one of her career goals. Music has been "a passion" of hers for years and she has a large number of fans who are loving her new venture.

”If I wanna do it, I'm gonna do it'. If I wanna interior decorate, I'm gonna do it. Why not?" said Boity.

In a recent interview with Times Live’s Pearl Boshomane Tsotetsi, Boity stated that she has no regrets about her new venture and even if she fails, she won’t regret a thing.

The release of her debut single has been a rollercoaster ride, but Boity stated that it has been "been unreal". She said that she ‘was shaking and almost threw up in the studio’ just before it aired on Metro FM.

The beaut stated that this has all been for herself and that ‘there's no pressure for her to do anything at a certain pace’. She will not be singing to the demand of the public.

Briefly.co.za learnt that when she was asked what persona she will be going for, Boity said “I don't want, like, ass out ... Just crop tops and baggy pants. Beautiful hair. Nice makeup. I don't wanna go for the usual, shake-my-ass kind of stuff. I feel like that's very expected."
