A young fashion designer in Mangaung, Free State, has pledged to make three matric dance pupils' dreams come true this year.
22-year-old Thabang Sekokotoane will design and donate free matric dance dresses to his chosen pupils, Daily Sun reports.
Briefly.co.za understands that this is his way of giving back to his community. He runs his own successful fashion design business called Grace Fashion Empire.
Thabang developed a keen interest in fashion design after watching his mom make dresses at home. He even dropped out of university to pursue this passion.
The talented designer started off by helping his mom with her sewing business. He later struck out on his own and two years later, he now employs two workers permanently.
Thabang now wants to make a real difference in his community, starting with his gesture of free matric dance dresses. He said:
This year, I will sponsor three matric pupils at different high schools. I will choose those who are hard workers and come from disadvantaged families.
