The annual Reed Dance took place recently, and surprisingly, AfriForum was in attendance.
Taking to his official Twitter account, Kallie Kriel shared how honoured AfriForum was to attend the annual Reed Dance.
On Saturday, Kriel shared a photo of him at the Reed Dance.
"What a privilege to learn more about Zulu history from Imbongi Mcwango. It was an honour to be invited to the annual Reed Dance by HM King Goodwill Zwelithini," he captioned the post.
AfriForum attended the Reed Dance after a new relationship with the Zulu royal family. As Briefly.co.za reported previously, AfriForum and the King met to discuss land expropriation.
However, Kallie Kriel was not the only political figure to attend the annual Zulu festival. Dr Zweli Mkhize was also photographed with the Zulu king at the Reed Dance.
"The Minister of COGTA, Dr #Zweli Mkhize at eNyokeni Royal Palace to attend the Reed Dance (uMkhosi woMhlanga), which is hosted by His Majesty, King Goodwill Zwelithini kaBhekuzulu, annually. Seen also is Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi," Mkhize captioned the post.
Briefly.co.za also gathered a couple of other photos of the cultural Reed Dance.
