Mbaks' comparison of Williams and Ma Winnie left social media users divided, some felt his tweet was disrespectful to the late mother of the nation, since she had to fight for the freedom of her people, while Williams fights merely for a title.

Social media user @Hlabang wrote, "We need to learn not to politicize everything that has to do with our skin colour and play a victim to every little thing the fact that you suggesting Serina was fighting for women emancipation when she is celebrated by all race including whites."
Another tweep, @okmalumlouie, added: "Don't disrespect Mama."

However, gathered some tweeps felt both woman stood up against unfair treatment, in their own respective ways.

Tweeps added Williams stood up for the rights of black women, while Ma Winnie fought for the rights of all black South Africans in general.
