- Xolani was diagnosed with cancer a year ago
- He managed to fight the dreaded illness and came out on top
- His wife, Peggy, is thankful for his fighting spirit as it kept her husband alive
Peggy-Sue’s husband Xolani Gwala was diagnosed with cancer a year ago. The media personality managed to beat the dreaded disease with his fighting spirit.
It was not an easy year for Peggy and the family, but Xolani never gave up. She is grateful for her husband’s inspiring will to live and the strength that he had through such a trying time, reported ZAlebs.
Briefly.co.za learnt that Xolani and Peggy met through a friend and hit it off on the first date. Xolani popped the question on his 40th birthday and the two have never looked back. They are soul mates.
During a recent interview on Metro FM’s Fresh Breakfast show, Xolani admitted that he would have been dead if it was not for his wife, Peggy-Sue Khumalo.
The former Miss SA expressed her husband as “an extraordinary, strong and very positive person”. She said that he “stood strong” and fought the cancer head on. “He’s a fighter,” said Peggy.
Peggy stated that the family remained ‘anchored in their faith’ and that was another thing that kept them pushing on.
With love, faith and a devoted partner, Xolani won his fight against cancer.
