Gigi Lamayne and long-term boyfriend, DJ Citi Lyts have called it quits after he resorted to his old habits.
Genesis Manney, who is better known by her stage name Gigi Lamayne, parted ways with the DJ after he received a pay out from his brother, ProKid’s life insurance policy and began spending the money on other women.
It is no secret that the DJ has a history of cheating and violence, with one of his previous girlfriends openly accused him of assaulting her.
The rapper says that Sandile ‘DJ Citi Lyts’ Mkhize, had been neglecting her since he received the money and has been using it to spoil other women, she decided that she had had enough and finally left him.
Briefly.co.za learned that this is not the first time Gigi has been in an abusive relationship, one of her previous boyfriends took advantage of her and she didn’t do anything about it, this time round she hopes to get justice.
Gigi has finally broke her silence on her relationship after she was flooded with messages from tweeps trying to comfort her during the break-up, but she felt that she needed to put the record straight.
She took to Twitter to explain what she has been going through since she has been in a relationship with Sandile but has since deleted the tweets.
ZAlebs reports that the DJ constantly assaulted her and had to make multiple trips to the hospital to be treated for injuries that she sustained.
Gigi had a pregnancy scare, which later was diagnosed as an ovarian cyst, but when she broke the news to Sandile, he flew off the handle.
He accused her of cheating on him and that if she was pregnant, the baby was not his. During the fight he pushed her onto their balcony, severely injuring her.
During her Twitter confession, Gigi tried to get the attention of Metro FM’s Masechaba Ndlovu so that she could appear on the show and bring awareness to the issue.
The Drivetime co-host helped Babes Wodumo expose her abuser and hopes that they can help her in the same way.
