A South African man has been praised for his honesty and integrity after he knocked another man's truck recently.

A Bloemfontein-based nonprofit organisation, iDestiny, shared the story on Positive Racial Testimonies in SA's Facebook page, Briefly.co.za gathered.

When contacted, the unnamed man readily admitted to being at fault in the accident and promised to visit iDestiny's offices later on.

True to his word, he bought new spare parts for the truck and delivered them personally. iDestiny explained:

Later on today he comes to my office with a new bumper and fog light for my truck. Now how many people do you know of that would be so fair.
I wish you all the luck down the pathway of life my friend. Honesty [and] integrity are a rare commodity today.

Commenters on the post also praised the man for keeping to his word. One of them, Elizabeth Prinsloo, wrote:

If only more people were like him. Thank you for your honesty and also for realising that each one of our actions has a consequence. You are a remarkable gentleman.

Another commenter, Sandile Mbhele, said the man's actions are an example of Ubuntu and humanity.
