Gorgeous woman graduates despite losing her eyesight and both parents

A proud uncle took to Twitter recently to praise his niece who overcame great odds to graduate from university.

@skhuw posted pictures of himself and his niece at her graduation, Briefly.co.za learned. He accompanied them with the caption:

She lost her father at the of 6, lost her mother at 12, completely lost her eyesight at 21 and today at 25, she graduated with a degree in Social Science from UKZN. Super proud of my niece and her bravery in overcoming all.

The post touched the hearts of many South Africans on Twitter and immediately went viral, racking up 7,300 likes and 1,400 retweets so far.

Tweeps congratulated @skhuw's niece and expressed amazement that she overcame such great challenges. They referred to her as an inspiration.
