The sky is the limit for Durban-based entrepreneur Bongi Shangase, who founded Shangase Brands in 2010.
The 53-year-old businesswoman started off with a cosmetics line known as Skin Radiant, according to The Mercury.
She then partnered with Manna Hoogenboezem in 2016 to launch her own detergent brand, Oh So Bright.
Shangase is now looking to export the product to neighbouring countries after rolling it across South Africa, Briefly.co.za gathered.
She holds a BSc degree and majored in mathematics, statistics, and chemistry. Her vast experience includes stints at Home Affairs department and Unilever.
Shangase ventured into business and after the success of her cosmetics line, she spent three years researching and developing Oh So Bright.
The detergent is now listed in several major retailers across the country. Shangase dreams big and hopes to overtake major competitors.
