We all know finding, and keeping love, in celebville needs a medal. But, these five celeb couples seem to have found their perfect matches.

1. Basetsana and Romeo Kumalo

When SA ushered in a new dawn in 1994, when the country became a democracy, Basetsana was crowned Miss SA.

Romeo, on the other hand, was a TV personality, as well as successful businessman.

It seemed Romeo finally found his ‘Juliet’ in Basetsana and in 2000, the couple said their ‘I do’s’. The entire SA was invited to the fairytale wedding, which was aired on Top Billing.

The couple, who are still going strong after almost 2 decades, share a love most of us dream of.

Basetsana is now a media mogul, while Romeo is still running the business, while also being a telecommunications expert, media personality and commercial strategist.

2. Liesl Laurie and Proverb

It’s hard to imagine what life was like before Liesl and Proverb were an item. Gosh, we don’t even know if life would be the same without them. But what we do know is, this couple is absolute #CoupleGoals.

In 2015, the gorgeous Liesl Laurie was crowned Miss SA. It was the happiest and most beautiful day of her life.

Meanwhile, Proverb was going through one of the worst times of his life. At the time, the celeb was embrawled in a divorce from his wife of a decade.

You know when you’re never really looking for love, it somehow still finds you? Well, this was the case for Proverb.

A year after Liesl was crowned Miss SA, Proverb was dishing out roses on a street corner when he was knocked off his feet.

He saw Liesl at the Proudly SA event and it was love at first sight for the rapper.

Another year later, the couple took their relationship public and it’s been the most adorable union since.

3. Bokang Montjane and Siphiwe Tshabalala

Seven years ago, Bokang was crowned Miss South Africa.

When Kaizer Chiefs ex-midfielder, Siphiwe Tshabalala saw her, he knew he had to put a ring on it….That’s how much he liked her.

Just two years after Bokang won Miss SA, the soccer star proposed to his beautiful girlfriend.

Word on the treet is Bokang made Siphiwe work for it though, as he had to wait two years for her to even agree to make their relationship official.

4. Melinda Bam and Adriaan Bergh

Ah, this stuff can’r be made up.

It starts like a true life fairytale….One day, a former Miss SA and a former Mr SA fell in love…

Jokes aside, Adriaan proposed to Melinda at the Burj Khalifa in Dubai – the tallest building in the world.

In 2014, the couple walked down the aisle in a stunning “bush fairy-tale wedding.”

5. Khaya Mthethwa and Ntando Kunene

Three years ago, Ntando stole South Africans’ hearts when she was crowned the winner of Miss SA.

Somewhere in between, Ntando also managed to steal IdolsSA winner, Khaya’s heart too.

The couple never really went public with their relationship, but in 2017, when they got engaged, SA was over the moon for the match made in heaven.

In 2017, the couple got married and shared stunning tradition wedding pics on social media.
