Heartbreaking video footage shows pupils mourning the death of stabbed teacher

A video has gone viral on social media, which showed pupils and teacher breaking down after the death of 24-year-old Gadimang Daniel Mokolobate, who was stabbed by a learner, 17.

Mokolobate, a teacher at Ramotshere Secondary School, tragically lost his life after a pupil allegedly stabbed him on Thursday, in front of other learners who were writing exams.

SABC News North West shared a video of the high school's assembly on Friday morning, where both learners and educators were overcame with emotion.

The video footage shook social media users, whose hearts were touched by the immense sadness of the young people and their teachers.

Ndebelekazi Mntungwa Ntuthwana wrote, "Let's stand up people and raise our voices for Teachers .the Government must take harsh decision now please."
Joana Wise Tyimbandi commented: "If it was a teacher who did that to learner you should have heard from those so call parents...now it teacher....its sad he was young."
Xolani Sibiya added: "It really so sad we were still hoping that he will change the country by educating our children's Rest In Peace colleague."

As Briefly.co.za reported earlier, the teenage boy from Zeerust, North West, was arrested after he allegedly stabbed a teacher to death.

The 17-year-old faces a murder charge after the incident that happened at the Ramotshere Technical Secondary School on Thursday, 13 September.
