A video was posted on Twitter, which showed a gogo breaking down in tears because of tenants building illegal structures in her yard.
The City of Johannesburg shared a video on its official Twitter account which shows an elderly lady, Dorris Shange, crying because of the illegal structures that was built in her yard.
"Gogo Dorris Shange who logged the complaint against the tenants who built an illegal structure in her yard can’t contain her emotions," the video was captioned.
Briefly.co.za learned since she logged the complaint, the City of Joburg has started with the demolition process.
"Demolition underway : Cosmo City :We once again appeal to all residents, developers and other stakeholders of the City to comply with all building regulations and other safety Bylaws," another post was captioned.
However, the City of Joburg has since announced the gogo received threats from tenants who are unhappy with her decision to report the illegal structures.
"So sad to report that some community members are threatening Gogo Shange, who rightfully logged a complaint against tenants who illegally built structures on her property...law enforcement is on site assisting her," the post was captioned.
