Search is on for 4-year-old girl taken during KwaZulu-Natal hijacking

- A Golf 7 was hijacked on Saturday morning with a 4-year-old girl still sitting inside

- The father was forced out at gunpoint and the group of 4 men sped off with the vehicle

- The police are investigating a kidnapping and hijacking case but the girl has been found unharmed

A search was on for a 4-year-old little girl who was in a vehicle that was hijacked in New Germany, KwaZulu-Natal. She has since been found unharmed and returned to her family.

Four men cornered the VW Golf 7 while driving on Saturday morning at around 7 am. The driver stopped at a traffic light on the corner of Shepstone and Dinkelman when the group of armed men approached.

The father (45) was forced out of the vehicle at gunpoint and the men sped off. The girl was still in the vehicle.

A case of hijacking as well as kidnapping is being investigated while the police search for the 4 suspects.

IOL News reported that the identity of the child and the father could not be disclosed.
