‘Muvhango’ actors Gabriel Temudzani and Sydney Ramakuwela have promised to help the African National Congress win the general elections in 2019.
The actors attended a rally in Middelburg in Mpumalanga to celebrate the 74th Anniversary of the ANC Youth League where they stood in a front of 4000 people where they promised to help campaign for the party to ensure a majority win.
They appeared at the Sydney Choma Community Hall as the party’s guests and rally-goers were eager to get the chance to get a picture with Gabriel and Sydney.
ANCYL leader Collen Maine and Deputy President David Mabuza were supposed to speak at the rally but both failed to show up due to other important matters that needed to be resolved.
Briefly.co.za learned that the ANCYL deputy leader Desmond Moela stepped in to address the crowd to apologise on the party’s behalf for Maine’s and Mabuza’s no show.
The Citizen reports that Moela then went on to deliver a fiery speech which encourage the youth to focus on their education because it would help lower the unemployment rates in the country while Speedy Mashilo, the ANC Nkangala regional chairman, rallied the youths to start creating their own businesses and to create jobs for themselves as well as others in their community.
He also went on to stress how crucial it is to support local businesses and how it helps put more money back into the country’s economy.
