However, their victory was somewhat overshadowed by the display of the old South African flag during the game.

During the 63rd minute of the game, the apartheid flag could be seen hanging at one of the tunnels, IOL reported.

The image started circulating on social media and although the owner of the flag likely intended to divide the country, South Africans of all races stood together to slam the 'idiot'.

Comedian and Afrikaans singer Bouwer Bosch shared a screenshot of the flag on Twitter, captioning the post: “This is so pathetic. Leaving SA then flying the old flag at a Bok game. We must be part of the solution, not the problem!”

Bosch was not the only one to condemn the person's waving the apartheid flag at the game. Siv Ngesi and New Zealand commentator Tony Johnson also gave their two cents about the incident.
