Man turns down huge pay cheque to care for his baby boy till he's 1

This Nigerian man might have won the father of the year if there was any event that awards fathers for their devotion, love, sacrifice and time spent on their children.

A man simply identified as Obinna raised a conversation on Twitter after he shared the story of how he gave up a huge financial opportunity for his son. The man had revealed that he couldn't miss the first year of his son's life.

In his Twitter post, the devoted father expressed that he was offered a job that was going to pay twice his current salary but he had to turn it down because the place of work was in Lagos state.

He noted that he couldn't miss being there for the first year of his son's life for all the money in the world.

However, the devoted and loving father expressed that he wished he took to the job just thinking about how much is spent on his son. He stated that his son eats one kilogram baby cereal.

Obinna said: "Earlier this year I got a great job offer. Pay was twice my current salary, but the job was in Lagos. I had to pass. Wouldn't miss watching the first year of my son's life for all the money in the world. Now he eats 1kg cerelac in 6 days. I'm wishing I took that job."

The man received accolades on the microblogging platform. Many people gave him thumbs up, giving him hope that things would turn out for the better.
