From Facebook to the alter: How an SA couple fell in love online

Well most people are sceptical about meeting people on social media, things could not have turned out better for a South African couple.

A decade ago, Boitumelo Boikanyo saw Tumi Mohasoa on Facebook and he was immediately memorised by her beauty.

So, he gathered the courage and sent her a friend request along with a message in her inbox, which read: "Hello chomi"

According to a report by the Daily Sun, the couple lost contact until Boikanyo reached out to her again in 2013.

During the time, both parties mourned the loss of a relative, with Boikanyo losing his twin brother while Mohasoa having to deal with the deal of her cousin.

The couple relied on each other and they fell in love. Now, five-years-later, the couple is set to walk down the aisle in a ceremony in December- and they could not be happier.

Boikanyo knows Mohasoa is wife material and he admitted she stuck with him even when he had nothing.

Mohasoa also has an eight-year-old son, who Boikanyo treats as his own. learned already tied the knot in a traditional ceremony earlier this month, which Mohasoa shared on Facebook.
