When the latest revelations were made during the state capture inquiry, South Africans lost a little more respect for the ruling party.

It's like the African National Congress went from being the party that represented the people to becoming the party that represents fraud, deception and theft.

It was revealed earlier that the ANC members, including former mineral resources minister Mosebenzi Zwane, tried to manipulate the Standard Bank, as reported on by Briefly.co.za.

Enoch Godongwana messaged Burger to find out why the Gupta family's bank account has been revoked, according to a report by The Daily Maverick.

Burger testified that it was the first time in his career that a third party questioned the relationship between a bank and its clients.

Burger's testimony proves that banks were meddled with by the ANC on behalf of the Guptas.

Former ANC Secretary-General Gwede Mantashe also got involved when he asked ABSA CEO Maria Ramos to a meeting to discuss the bank account closure.

However, the ANC said it was not interfering or trying to pressure the banks with their probing.
